The story goes that, on Halloween Night 1965, my mother asked for a chocolate bar from one of my siblings' candy bags. It gave her indigestion, or so she thought, and I appeared at a quarter to noon the next day...
Does it? Only time will tell.
Here I come.

happy birthday lady.
may this be a wonderful year and a fantastic decade.
I hear you: I just turned 30. Those new decades make you think, don't they? I'll miss being a very good twenty-something: a girlfriend, an apartment, diplomas, a job and a fair salary. Now, I,m a lame 30-something: no long-term contract? No kids? No house? But I accepted my fate and now I feel happy to be part of a more defined crowd. Good luck to you! (and good idea for the post!)
I'd sing to you but I don't think I can post an audio file in comments.
"Happy Birthday dear Meruuuu-joooo....
Happy Birthday to you!"
What vecordious one said!
Happy Birthday Merujo.
Remember it's the new 30! :-)
Thanks, everyone, for the very kind wishes of the day! May you all have the same - and more - when your natal day spins 'round. :-)
It's been a quiet one here, waiting for possible employment news, pondering the universe (okay, not really - unless the universe is limited to cable tv), and just being fairly mellow. But quiet is good, and I'm feeling ready for whatever is ahead. :-)
don't forget:

Ok, maybe do forget that one. ;]
May you have a molto groovy birthday!
Happy Birthday! (Okay, a three-minute-belated happy birthday)... take heart in the fact that I am older than you (but not necessarily wiser.)
Claire - great image - awful movie, thanks! (There were a few images I found that I just couldn't use. My taste is questionable anyway, and these were ones that pushed the threshold for me!)
A "bol'shoye spasibo" to Kuzmich, a righteous amen to my Pirate Twin, and Cyn - no way are you older than me! I refuse to believe it!
And AJ, grandma needs you to take care of the angry squirrels in her parking lot. I'll pay you a quarter. It's somewhere in my housecoat pocket, along with some fuzzy mints...
