Outside my apartment, 11:15 p.m.

These guys were very gutsy and stood their ground. I eventually had to walk past them to get in the door...

Sorry the quality is so poor - I couldn't see well enough in the dark to find the "nighttime" setting. (Although I like the freaky "alien" effect with the eyes.) I saw some of these guys grazing in a park across the street from the British Embassy on Mass Ave this morning during rush hour. As beautiful and graceful as they are, they do terrible damage to landscaping, eating everything in sight. Do you know I actually feel bad that we have developed into their turf and invade "their" space? I'm already in trouble with my neighbors for feeding the squirrels.

Ugh. Squirrels. Get rid of the bushy tails and they'd just be rats redux...

wow, spooky- love the eyes and nicely composed crop. I guess they operate with a strength in numbers approach...

I remember once I read an article where it said "deer are the rats of the suburbs". I told this to a friend that responded "people are the rats of the suburbs."
