If only this blog were scratch and sniff!

I've just made a big batch of banana bread - it's in the oven right now, and holy crow, does it ever smell fabulous. It's chilly, windy, and rainy out, and I had four big, overripe 'nanners, so it seemed like the right thing to do.

I couldn't find my family recipe, so I modified one I found on AllRecipes.com - this one has milk in it, to make the bread more moist. I added pumpkin pie spice and another good shake of cinnamon, as well as vanilla. Honest, this smells fabulous. If it's good, I'll put my modified recipe up here for y'all.

I said "screw the carbs, screw all that!" and this baby is made with real sugar.

Sometimes, real, honest food is the Right Thing To Do.

Later today, once the laundry is perking and I feel a bit better about the budget work I brought home, I'm making a chicken casserole to eat/freeze, too.

Damn. I'm just Dolly Domestic today! If only this virtuous feeling would last!

(Also, being Dolly Domestic = not buying lunch at work, which also = saving that confederate money!)

Mmmm... bananas...

Mmmmmm...that sounds fabulous!

I had six extraordinarily ripe bananas that I meant to make bread with, but I ended up throwing them away :(

Hmmmmm banana bread.
I predict cyberspace smell-o-vision will be the next big life-changing invention. Take that with a grain of salt, I also through the Flowbee hair cutting system would change the world - go figure.

I just bought some bananas, but they're green. Now I can't wait until they turn all mushy so I can make banana bread too.

Banana bread: yummy.

Serving recommendations: slather with butter. Even better, bury it in Nutella.

Oh. My. God.

Can we say "YUMMY"?

Go Janet! Butter all the way! The only way it's truly good, IMHO.
