If you buy yourself one Xmas track on iTunes this year...

...make it "Mr. Heat Miser" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. If you're down in the dumps, suffering from early holiday overload, if you just need to cheer up a little, this is the song to turn things around. Quite possibly the best cover of a Rank & Bass holiday kids show tune ever.

I defy you to not dance around once you've downloaded this sucker.

"I'm too much!"

This is SOOOO funny. I just used this melody as part of a parody today! I'm a sucker for this stuff.

Rudolf? I'm putty.
"I'm cute! I'm cute! She thinks I'm CUTE!"

Hey what happened to my blog on your blog roll, aren't I your friend anymore? I need all the friends I can get these days.

At this precise moment, "Frosty the Snowman" is playing on our TV - I have a whole VHS tape of xmas shows that I put together over the past few holiday seasons for the kids (hoping to keep them hypnotized for hours on end) so it's quite appropriate that I am reading your post now.

But Frosty is pretty lame, in my book - and yeah, the Heat Miser song is THE BEST!

Like spocko, I love Rudolph - always my favorite xmas show since childhood. Next to Charlie Brown, that is, which I think is being shown on network TV in about 20 minutes!

Oops - sorry, Spocko. Looks like when I did some housecleaning a few days ago (I was moving links around, adding them, etc.) I accidentally deleted you! Sorry about that!!!!
