Support PostSecret

Frank Warren of PostSecret is calling on folks for support - buy one of his PostSecret books to keep the website free of advertising. Every Sunday, there's at least one postcard that grabs me in a significant way. Today, this is the one:

I know this feeling. I really, really do.

Oh man...I do too.

I'm debating whether or not to send a postcard to this guy.

Aw, Merujo, your worth is far too mammoth to even have words to describe it! You know we love you and want you to realize how incredible you really are!

The way I took this postcard was to mean that the person is actually lazy, but hides it well enough to rack up good accomplishments. Like they plan to get a job & sit at a desk playing on the internet all day.

I thought it was funny because many of us are probably worthless in that sense. Did you take it differently?

I really did see it in a very different way - I saw it as being written by someone who has worked in places that look impressive with job titles that look impressive, but feels very little self-worth in person. "My credentials are good, but I really don't have any value." Someone who is afraid to be found out for an insecure fraud.

Very interesting to see your take on it - thank you for posting, for I genuinely didn't see that way of looking at it!

And Aoife - thanks. You are far too kind to me, you know. :-)

I'm the opposite...I don't think a piece of paper can do justice to my worth...LOL

But I will definitely support Mr. Warren's endeavors and buy one of the Postsecret books. I love the site. It's a great overall concept.

I saw one of his books advertised in an ExtremeGeek catalog which I thought was very cool. I need to check out his site more often...
