I just read (via Fark) that venting/kvetching/complaining to friends can make your problems worse. (And probably make your friends want to kick you to the curb.)
So, I've edited this rantish post about a craptacular day to simply say this:
Today, I am Hurley. Without the lottery win. And immediate access to a beach.

Harley rocks and so do you! Anything I can do to help?
Stop me before I start complaining about that study. Oh -- too late...I quit reading when I saw they were studying teenage girls. What applies to teenage girls cannot - nay, should not - be extrapolated to apply to the rest of the real world.
Anyway, there's nothing wrong with venting if you are an actual rational adult (or close approximation, as in my case) especially if it does make you feel better (and I guess you'd know that best yourself.)
Yikes -- I just realized I missed a major chance for some blantant spousal-promotion.
My Esteemed Husband has just uploaded a new song called "No Right To Complain" in which he complains about people telling him he shouldn't be complaining.
Brilliant!

What Cyn said...also, you're the kind of person who actually tries to find solutions to problems. You don't just sit around with your thumb up your behind waiting for the world to solve your problems for you.
So SEE???? You're gonna be fine.
Would I lie to you?
