Handy Hints (more in the oh-so-valuable series)

Housecleaning hint: even though the cans may be the same color, Pledge and Lysol are not the same thing. Spraying your bathroom down with Pledge is not a good idea.

General hint: wear your friggin' glasses. Read labels.

Holy crap, does the apartment ever stink of Pledge. And it's not even the lemony fresh variety.

Yuck.

Sleeping in the living room tonight...

So, do you Pledge to do a better job next time?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Walk gingerly - pledge is not known for improving traction.

sorry for being the complete ignorant here, but what is pledge? And lysol, for that matter ...

I do get the general idea, though ;)

Pledge (at least this variety of Pledge) is a spray cleaner for wooden furniture. Lysol is an antibacterial spray for keeping spaces nice and sanitary.

Pledge is, as Spencer noted, very slippery stuff, too. As I discovered that evening, nearly taking a header walking into the bathroom.

You should have seen the look on my face when I realized what I'd done. Everything in the bathroom is STILL kinda slippery and slimey. Yuck.

If you want to add one more smell to it all, get some Pinesol and scrub the bathroom floor. Risking your life for Pledge just isn't worth it. ;-)
