A Celebration Long Overdue

Few words today. Just a couple of important images for you. If you're a regular here at the Church, you know about my mom. And the time has finally come for Mom and her fellow WASP to receive their due, in the form of the Congressional Gold Medal.

Just wish Mom was here to experience it all herself.

About damn time! Makes me proud to be an Illinois native.

Long overdue, but congratulations all the same. Take pride in her recognized achievement. Her Congressional Gold Medal is a legacy for the books.

Hey - I saw your comment on DCBlogs about Martin of Buztopia. I'm so sorry to hear that news -- I only met him once, October '08 at Bourbon in AM, I think, at my first DC Blogger Happy Hour shortly after I moved to DC from Baltimore. He moved out west not long after. From my very brief aquaintance with him, I wish I'd had the opportunity to get to know him better.
