I defy you to not enjoy this

I swear, I've watched the opening musical number from the Emmy Awards like, fifteen times, and it makes me smile like a moron each time. You'd have to be: 1)a heartless puppy snuffer; 2)a hater of pop culture; 3)utterly un-American; and 4)not own a TV to not enjoy the stuffing out of this.

Seriously, what's not to love? My favorite Springsteen song, the Glee kids, John Hamm, Jorge Garcia, Joel McHale, Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Tim Gunn, Betty White...

What a kick!

Aww, that was totally fun! I didn't see it on TV so thanks for posting it.

Isn't it a blast? It just makes me smile. :)

I saw it after the fact and thought it was well done. I was busy watching Rubicon and Mad Men instead. :)

Ah, Cube - we are cut from the same cloth. I saw it after the fact, too. I love Rubicon, and it reminds me of a quiet 1970s thriller. So cinematic.

And Mad Men - as Pete Campbell would exclaim, "Judas priest!" I'm not missin' that for the world.

When do we expect the total meltdown of Mr. Lost Weekend, Don Draper?

Laughing at the Lost Weekend reference (and totally appropriate.) I'm waiting for Sally to go into a full blown hippie meltdown herself and become a Weatherman, bombing something. You just know she's ready to blow in a few more years.

I had thought Sal might come back when the new firm formed, but so far...nope. He added an interesting dynamic to the era, I thought.

Also, a P.S. snooping around I discovered Lane Pryce is Jared-- Richard Harris' son. I did not know that.

I miss Sal, too! His storyline, his marriage, and his departure were all the stuff of quiet tragedy.

Hilarious re: Sally. I just said to someone the other day that, if Mad Men ran through Sally's college years, we'd see her first at Sarah Lawrence, having a pill-fueled lesbian fling (and an affair with a lit prof, too, probably), then dropping out after her first year, and going underground.

Had no idea Lane was Richard Harris' kid. He's really growing on me. One of the funniest moments for me this season so far was Don and Lane at the Godzilla movie. Classic.
