Farewell to Kolchak, who stalks the night no more...

The faces that were staples of my childhood TV are fading away...

It's time for the old man to collect his major award...

Darrin McGavin, 1922-2006
I wonder if he would have made it big in today's plastic perfect Hollywood...

Don Knotts, 1924-2006
I know, to most he'll always be Barney Fife...
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/hello/200/5306/320/knotts%202.jpg)
But, for me and my siblings, he'll always be Mr. Chicken...

Or the heroic Mr. Limpet...

Time to go, Mr. Limpet, Ladyfish is waiting...
Rest well, gentlemen. Be at peace.

I love Don Knotts!
To this day if "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" comes on I HAVE to watch it. He was the ultimate comedic actor - a true original. As clumsy and dense as some of his characters were, he always imbued them with a humanity and humility that is missing from so many of today’s "silly" actors.
