Call me an old school geek, but here it is, well past my bedtime on a school night, and I'm jamming out to the Best of ELO. I love those guys. I defy you to be unhappy when listening to "Mr. Blue Sky."

If I didn't live in a crackerbox apartment, I'd have the volume up, and I'd be dancing around to "Livin' Thing" right now. Livin' Thing has cowbell in it.
And lord knows, we all need more cowbell.

Okay, but everyone knows that Evil Woman is the more rockin' song (even though there isn't a cowbell involved)
Oh, I love ELO! That is, I used to play them a lot until my sister insisted (insistered?) that I gave her back her cassette...
You're hereby invited to come to stay with us, no neighbours too close, but a decent stereo :)
Oh, heck yeah!! Now you've hit upon one of my major guilty pleasures... Jeff Lynne's one of my favorite producers ever; everything he touched seemed to turn into brilliantly overproduced gold, or at least gold leaf. I even still love their later albums ("Balance of Power" comes to mind) after everybody stopped liking them. Wish I could still squeeze into my "ELO: The Big Night 1978" concert tee without looking like a puffier Freddie Mercury...

I've got a fever...
Ahhh ELO. I used to have the 8 track of Out of the Blue and Time. I think I just about have the full CD collection now.
One of my current favorite bands is Grandaddy who cite ELO as an influence.
