The coming weeks here in DC prove to be a great treat for my particular tastes:
April 26: They Might Be Giants at the 9:30 Club

May 6 & 7: Thomas Dolby at Rams Head Onstage/Annapolis
May 8: Thomas Dolby at the Birchmere

June 12: Joe Jackson (and most of his original band) at the 9:30 Club

I just read that Wang Chung is going to tour this summer. Here's hoping the guys make it to DC - and to a much, much better venue than last time!!

Color me tickled pink and empty-pocketed.

TMBG, TMDR and JJ - three of my favourites, you lucky thing! Deeply envious in particular of your Dolby gigs: still watching & waiting for news of a UK tour. Also still hoping to catch him one day at his Shingle Street residence, about 30 minutes from where I live. Bye!
Okay - you're officially on my list of totally cool people. Not only do you like TMBG, TMDR, and JJ, but, according to your "about" page on your website, you've seen Half Man Half Biscuit three times.
Oh darlin' sugar honey/
When it was nice and sunny/
And when we had some money/
We would go see Echo and the Bunny/
Men
99% of gargoyles look like Bob Todd, you know. ;-)
Here's hoping for some UK Dolby-ness for you!!
Before I had kids and a sensible hubby I'd go for concerts and CDs every time... Yes, I was slimmer in those days, also hungrier - but so up-to-date in music :)
Delighted to be on your list: will have to tell my kids! Twenty long years since I first saw the inimitable HMHB ("he's much better than David Nixon ever was") live at Exeter Uni. Flicking down your very own "About" page, I've got a brother named after one of your fave films. See ya.
I SO DID NOT KNOW ABOUT JOE JACKSON!
My sig other hates Joe Jackson, and I LOVE him.
I HAVE TO GO!!!!!!!
Wanna go with me?
