Totaled.

My freaking car is totaled.

Shite.

I'm going to take a walk (well, a limp) and try to be Zen about this.

Le Crapmobile est morte. :(

Vive le Crapmobile?

I'm very sorry to hear about your car troubles, but hope you're okay.

Hey, why be sad? Well, I mean, I understand we all get attachments to our cars, but have Ms. Hit and Run's insurance company pay for a new car! I'm sure she'd prefer to have you get a nicer car than you did vs. facing criminal charges...

Wait? How did it go from dented in the back to totaled?? Regardless, what shitty luck.

:(

It sucks to lose a car you've had forever.

I hope insurance will get you a great new car that won't break down and is ridiculously safe and that you'll love.

I feel for ya, sister friend.

I was in that same position in February. *sigh*

Sooo glad you were not injured more seriously... but the ravages of whiplash can be years manifesting itself... more on that later...
Unbelievable... looking at the pic, I believe the crapmobile is a Ford Escort??
I too had an escort... that is until about 6 weeks ago when 2 heathen teens, the driver TALKING ON A CALL PHONE ran into the back of me at about 50 mph... totally killed all of the plastic bumper panels & crushed in my hatch like it did yours...
The heathens?? Oh they hopped out & looked at the damage to my car & theirs, jumped back in & hauled ass... they only got about another 1/2 mile when their engine quit... then they ran away into the nearby neighborhood... turns out the car was stolen....
I'm getting 800 bucks... doesn't sound bad on the surface for a 93 Escort, but that car only had 36K miles on it !!...

best part though is that NO damage was done to my neck... very important as I have been quadraplegic on two occasions over the past 6 yrs.. the result of bone spurs caused by whiplash injuries many years before.. the numerous surgeries have left me with an array of steel rods & plates holding my neck verts together.. we call it the Bionic neck....

so watch closely for signs of numbness & stiffness in extremities... get regular MRI's to keep checking for residual damage from this deal...
Hope you dodged the bullet that caught up with me many years down the road....
